The Greenview Inn by OYO Rooms

The Inn is near the spot where you can catch a ferry to other places, and the rooms are bright and clean. There's even a first-floor balcony covered in sand, which really gives it a beach feel. Mr Ajnas, Mr Sanu, and Mr Sadananthan made us feel at home and took care of whatever we needed. Ajnas arranged hot food and drinks late at night, checked train and bus ticket prices, and looked into places to stay at our next stop. He also called the Train Station and several Tour Operators to find the best way to Kumily, entrance town to the Periyar Tiger National Park. For a backwater tour, Mr Sadananthan is a true gentleman. He took us to his home for breakfast and lunch, then by canoe to some hidden spots. On the 3h trip, we paddled into small sidearms of the waterways in Alappuzha. The place, and especially its people, are a gem. Five stars with love.

I stayed one night and arrived in the evening. The sunset over all that green was amazing, and there were hammocks to relax in. Later, the chirping of the crickets made the night feel even more peaceful, with music and art around. Green view really does fit the name. I'd definitely recommend it.

As of November 11, 2022, this place was out of business, though it was still listed on several booking sites. I made a reservation and went there, but couldn't stay the night, which left me really saddened. It may once have been a great hostel. I'm posting this so nobody else has to go through what I did. Please be careful.

The view is nice, and the rooms are okay, but nothing special. Our ven wasn't working properly [picture 2]. We booked a trip on cano by Greenview Inn. The trip was nice, again, but not great: we had to wait a lot and ended up taking the ferry twice instead of the cano.
