Mango Beach Cottage

The crowd made us uncomfortable, and the basics weren't handled properly. The rooms and pool looked dirty, there was dust everywhere, the washrooms weren't up to standard, and the AC service was poor. For what the stay cost, I expected much better quality and service. It was a bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was good and the staff were supportive, but the property needs a lot of work. The pool table and TT table weren't maintained, and we found beer bottles on the terrace and even on the carom board. A group of 35 men had visited, which made the place uncomfortable for families. It felt more suited to corporate events than family stays or functions. It's hard for families to feel comfortable when the whole resort is occupied by men drinking.

The pool was tiny, and the water looked murky enough that I didn't want to swim. Food choices were very limited, what was available tasted poor, and the prices were exorbitant. Even the tea and coffee came in dirty cups marked with lipstick. When we raised complaints, staff were dismissive and unapologetic. Hygiene was a problem throughout Mango Beach Cottage. Our bedsheets and blankets were dirty, and the washrooms were covered in grime. The service was also awful. Staff came across as arrogant and unhelpful, as if every request was a nuisance. From arrival onward, it was clear this place didn't meet basic hospitality standards. The facilities and service were disappointing, and I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here. It doesn't even deserve one star.

The games and DJ night made it fun, and the pool with live music was a great experience. Mango Beach Cottage has tasty food and very good service, with cooperative staff. I enjoyed visiting, and it works well for friends or families.
