Taj Alibaug Resort & Spa

The gardens were lush, the resort was spotless, and the pool area was sparkling clean. It felt like a peaceful oasis, and the location was idyllic. Our stay at Taj Alibag was unforgettable and exceeded our expectations. From arrival, the hospitality was exceptional. Himanshi and Shiv at the front desk greeted us warmly, made check-in easy, and patiently answered our questions. The accommodation felt comfortable and luxurious, with elegant decor and top-class amenities. We also loved the dining, especially the amazing buffet breakfast. The staff were attentive throughout. Thank you to Himanshi, Shiv, and the whole team for making our stay so special. Great for a romantic break or a family vacation.

The mini golf course was such a fun, unusual part of the stay, and the game zone had plenty of room and a nice range of games. We also loved the pool and the excellent food. Breakfast and dinner both had outstanding spreads with lots to choose from. The rooms were spacious and beautifully designed, with a lovely bathtub for extra relaxation. Service was amazing and very welcoming. A wonderful, memorable stay. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was excellent, but almost everything else left me disappointed. Lunch and dinner were served cold, with similar dishes repeated, including noodles and sabzi. The service was awful. Staff wouldn’t respond when called, and issues weren’t resolved. The receptionist couldn’t answer our questions, and when we checked out nobody came for our luggage until after I called 4 or 5 times. Our room was dirty and dusty at check-in. The bathtub was filthy, smelled bad, and wobbled, which was especially concerning because I have a serious lower back injury. The fridge smelled of milk, and spoiled milk packets were left inside without the cleaning staff noticing. There were two mosquitoes in the room. I asked for a mosquito bat or coil, but nobody came. The TV also didn’t work, and it took 3 to 4 hours for staff to show up after I called. Outdoor games were all highly chargeable, which was disappointing for a tourist resort. In the evening, the staff didn’t switch on the cricket court lights. I had to ask them myself, and they only turned them on about half an hour later. When I went to the spa, nobody was there to attend to me. We stayed from 28th May 2026 to 1st June 2026. I’ve stayed at many Taj properties, including Taj Bekal in Kerala and Taj ends in Mumbai, and never had an experience like this. I didn’t expect this from Taj Alibaug or a property that was originally Radisson, which Taj took over last year. The service felt artificial, and it was the worst stay of my life. I’d give it 0/5. Please don’t visit, it was a waste of our time, money, and energy. Major changes are needed to bring in more tourists.

I went to Taj Alibaug from 3rd to 6th March for my niece’s wedding. The villa was extremely comfortable, the property itself is great, and the front desk was good, with a smooth check-in. The restaurant food was up to the mark too. Executive chef Sudeb supervised things personally and spoke with guests. The hospitality overall fell short of what I’ve come to expect from Taj. I’ve stayed at several Taj properties around the country, and this one lacked that warmth. My biggest concern was the event team led by Manali. Their shoddy work resulted in me falling and spraining my ankle. Manali was there, but neither she nor her team showed concern. My family had to run around to find ice. Then, just minutes before the main wedding, the entire backdrop fell down. Thankfully nobody was there and no one was injured. Management should reconsider renewing her contract.
