Hotel Riya Palace

Everything else is good, but please clean the boys' washroom in the banquet area. It's really, really dirty 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

We left without using any of the hotel's services, after less than an hour. My family and I had arrived on the night of May 25th, hoping to sleep before driving back to Delhi the next morning. We called Hotel Riya Palace in Haldwani first and were told two AC Deluxe rooms were ready. We then booked both through Goibibo for ₹3572. The rooms were stifling, and neither AC worked. The manager dismissed our first complaint and said they would cool down soon. After about 20 minutes, things were worse. He kept telling us to wait, even after we complained repeatedly, then finally agreed to move us after a lot of requests and arguments. The ACs in the other rooms also failed, and two of them wouldn't even switch on. We were exhausted from driving all day and needed rest before the long trip to Delhi. It was around 40°C, and there wasn't even chilled water or a refrigerator. After an hour of going in circles, we asked for a refund because we hadn't received any service. Staff refused and sent us to Goibibo. The manager was rude and showed no professionalism or courtesy. The whole experience was pathetic and disgusting. I would never recommend this hotel.

I paid Rs 2600 for a membership card after being told it would be valid for a year and give discounts according to the coupon. But when I went to Riya Palace to use it, they suddenly said none of the membership cards were accepted. I feel cheated by the hotel, and it's really disappointing that they sold the cards and then refused to honor them. Very bad experience, and I won't recommend it to anyone.

The manager, Mr . Lalit, was very rude when dealing with customers. I bought some coupons from their salesperson, but when it came time to pay, the policy for each coupon had changed. The manager himself didn't seem to know the billing policies. Fraud, fraud, fraud. Their policy is the worst.
