OYO 19406 Hotel Janta Palace

Our experience was really bad. The staff had a nasty attitude, and there was no service to speak of.

After an event in town, my companion and I arrived at Hotel Janta Palace at 11 pm, tired and expecting a comfortable night. Instead, the owner and staff treated both of us disrespectfully and behaved very unprofessionally. We felt so unwelcome that we checked out straight away to find another hotel. Even at checkout, the way they treated us was appalling, more like we were leaving a hostel than a hotel. I’d tell others to avoid it and look elsewhere for a respectful, comfortable stay.

The beds had dirty sheets, the toilets were dirty, and there were far too many mosquitoes. The geyser didn’t work, and when I asked staff to help, they said all the mosquito repellents were gone and they couldn’t do anything. There was even a mosquito in the tea I ordered. I was there with my family and found both the staff and owner rude. When we left, the owner demanded extra money for being late, though we were only five minutes behind, and took Rs.1000/- extra. The owner is Punjabi, and I found his behaviour the worst I’ve ever seen.

Water and electricity weren’t available, and the service was very poor. The staff were rude and arrogant, while the owner and staff members were offensive and irresponsible toward customers. A very bad hotel.
