Savoy Hotel

The hotel's location is excellent, and Harishji and the staff were very friendly. I'll definitely visit again, and hope Harishji puts in a little more effort to take care of the place.

The rooms are spacious enough and the service is satisfactory. The location is awesome, with a beautiful Himalayan view from a wide, well-kept terrace.

Set a little back from the main road, the hotel is quieter and more peaceful, and the Almora valley view is scenic. The rooms are spacious, but need renovation and much better cleaning. Hygiene problems and insects are a major issue, and the service is poor. For the location and view I'd give it 6/10, but for the service and unhygienic rooms alone, only 4/10.

We decided not to stay after checking the place. The rooms had a stale, moldy smell like a dead rat, and the chairs and seating area outside were dirty, with what looked like poop on them. We’d made a last-minute trip to Uttarakhand and picked it for the mountain views, but I’d only book after seeing it in person and confirming it’s clean. Otherwise, avoid it.
