The rooms were clean and neat, and the stay itself was manageable, but the management experience was poor and unprofessional. Water pressure on the top floor is very weak, so I’d avoid those rooms. There wasn’t much available at the restaurant or hotel around 8 AM. Before booking, I’d sent a query on Monday, but the owner took 5-6 days to reply. It was peak season and a weekend, so by then I had very few good options and ended up paying above the average room rate. After I booked, I was told check-in was at 2 PM, although MakeMyTrip and Cleartrip both said 12 PM. When I asked about the difference between direct bookings and the platforms, the owner called it a “glitch”. I know web platforms, and it didn’t seem like a glitch to me. Replies were very slow throughout, and at one point the owner said, “I don’t have time to reply here.” If communicating with customers is a burden, it’s hard to see how hospitality can be managed well.

The rooms were okay, and the hotel was quiet. Service and food were great, and the owner and staff were all well behaved and ready to help. We did feel the portions were small for the price. Rooms: 3/5, Service: 5/5, Location: 4/5. Hotel highlights: Quiet ❤️

I spent three months at The Alpine Vista, and it felt like home. The place was peaceful, comfortable for a long stay and well maintained. The staff and other members were incredibly warm and supportive, and made it feel like a family. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting more than just a hotel.

The highlight of my Uttarakhand trip was spending a few nights at The Alpine Vista. It’s close to the Kasar Devi Temple in the “Crank's Ridge” area, where you can feel the special, peaceful energy this place is known for. The balcony views were staggering. I’ll remember watching the sunrise over the Nanda Devi range with morning coffee. Staff were genuinely warm and attentive, helping with local transport and luggage and doing what they could to make us comfortable. The spacious, well-kept rooms are designed to stay warm, and I especially appreciated the clean washrooms, which can be hard to find in the mountains. After exploring nearby pine forests and temples, the in-house kitchen’s comforting meals hit the spot. I left feeling recharged, and will definitely come back next season. It feels like a peaceful sanctuary, not just a hotel.
