Ginger Trivendrum

The staff were polite and helpful, and the dining room, though small, was good. Breakfast was ordinary, but I especially liked the Puttu. This is a reasonable budget hotel, with easy check-in and good parking right by the highway. The rooms are clearly signposted, though a double room is small and has only a little cupboard space. The linen was clean, and the bathroom had a separate shower. Toiletries are limited to soap, shampoo, and conditioner; dental and shaving kits are available if you ask. Don't expect a hair dryer, iron, shoe shiner, or similar extras. There's a small fridge and a kettle for coffee. Wi-Fi was fast once it was working, though it took nearly ½hr after check-in to sort out. There are just two power sockets and no safe.

Being very close to Technopark is a big plus for Ginger, TVM, and the hotel is good value for money. The rooms are cozy, clean, and well maintained, although some still need renovation. They aren't especially spacious, but work well for one person. If you're traveling with someone, you'd need more rooms. Services were very good and the food was good too. I rated proximity, hygiene, room service, and staff behaviour 5 stars; room size and food 4 stars. A good option for business or solo travelers.

The location was the only good part of this stay. I travel often for work, and booking this hotel was a terrible mistake. Check-in was around 2 pm, but I didn't get a room until 5. The room was cramped and dirty, with bugs and dust in the bed. I complained, but management simply ignored it. The bathroom had lots of stains and not even adequate accessories. It wasn't worth even a 2 star rating, yet the price was like a four star hotel. I ended up moving to another hotel because of the bugs in the bed.

Amir was attentive and friendly while serving the food, and did a great job. Breakfast had a very good mix of styles and plenty of choices. The rooms were in good shape, cleaned daily, and the stay felt comfortable and pleasant.
