Nadhiyoram River Retreat

Nadiyoram felt like good value, and we all had a lovely time. The property was very well kept, with excellent rooms and ambience. Staff were extremely courteous. The food was good, though it could be better.

The tap water was yellow and honestly yuck. The place also needs maintenance, and it looked smaller than the photos: the pool and lawn in particular were small. The living hall had no air conditioning. At 1850/pax, we could host a function at Le Meridien 5 star hotel.

We were seven friends, and the lack of privacy was a problem. There were people around the front of the building the whole time, and we couldn't tell if they were staff or outsiders. Then the next morning, before our 11 am checkout, people were already on the top floor balcony and setting up the conference room for another event. We ended up eating breakfast in the dining hall while people worked around us. If we'd paid for the property, it should have been exclusively ours until checkout. The problems started when we arrived: the living room hadn't been cleaned after the previous party. We were also told the conference room AC couldn't run while the bedroom ACs were on. The food menu was a big disappointment, with no beef dishes listed, which really shocked us, and breakfast quality wasn't up to the mark. Overall, a very bad experience and not worth paying 20k for. I hope management takes this seriously and works on it.

My overall impression is quite favourable, as I indicated in the dropdown. They also shared details of other locations with me, and I expect to try one of them in the near future.
