The Isle by Area707

The team’s care really made this stay stand out. We had a couple of small problems, and they sorted them out quickly and professionally. At checkout we realized we’d left an earpod behind, and the staff offered to courier it to our home at no charge. That was a lovely sign of their honesty and thoughtfulness. Isle by Area 707 was comfortable throughout. Our room was clean and well looked after, and we enjoyed the food too. We’d happily stay here again when we’re in Aluva, and recommend it to others.

The room was acceptable, but the stay was full of avoidable frustrations. I had a non-refundable booking, so I stayed the night despite the problems. There were no spoons or chairs, no toilet paper, and the hot water barely seemed to exist. The deadbolt looked decorative, there was no second lock, and none of the intercom numbers got an answer. I had to find the owner’s number myself. I booked The Isle by Area 707 through Booking.com after seeing the photos and advertised amenities. At check-in, nobody was around to greet or guide me, and when I eventually found someone, I was told they only took cash, UPI, or bank transfer, not cards. There was no in-house restaurant despite it being listed online. I was told to use a food delivery app, and at dinner the dishes I asked for were all unavailable or couldn’t be made. The staff were polite, but not helpful or proactive. The advertised spa wasn’t available either. They said they’d check whether they could call someone in, but nothing came of it. Breakfast was included, but several requests were called unavailable before I managed to get an omelet, toast, fruit, and coffee. I had to keep asking before butter and jam appeared. The property might have potential, but my experience felt like style without substance. I left disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it to someone expecting the amenities shown in the listing.

The fresh, authentic South Indian food was a highlight, so thanks to the chef. We were also well looked after by the friendly, attentive staff. With all the greenery around, the hotel felt calm and peaceful. A really nice place to stay 😊

The pool was stunning, and the food was delicious. We celebrated our anniversary here, and the romantic decorations and lovely staff made it feel extra special. We had a great time as a couple.
