Chestnutt Tree Hotel

We stayed two nights with family in a studio room, with breakfast and dinner included. The room was neat, everything in it worked, housekeeping was available, and the food was okay overall. They first put us in a room at the back with no view, but moved us after we asked. You really need your own vehicle here. There was open parking on the property, but the hotel is 7 km from Alwar’s main hotspots. Service was a bit slow, and we had to ask for routine housekeeping and every toiletry. They skipped the buffet at both dinner and breakfast because occupancy was low, which I can understand, but the limited thali option came without refills. I insisted on the second day and got an à la carte meal instead. A few breakfast items smelled bad, including the dahi and poha, and I saw a big rat come out of the kitchen. They urgently need to look at food hygiene.
