Kanwal Resort by OYO Rooms

The rooms were clean and a good size for the price, and the food was alright. But I didn’t find the location or some of the guests conducive to a good stay. During my visit, two of the six rooms were occupied by groups of men having alcohol parties in their rooms. That made the place feel unsuitable for families.

The resort has nice views and sits near the highway on the Jaipur Alwar road, so it’s easy to avoid city traffic. There isn’t much parking for a wedding, though the location on the outskirts meant people could park safely by the roadside. The food was fine, and it’s a spacious venue for weddings. My issue was with the staff working there, who I believe were contract workers. They weren’t well spoken and could be heard using swear words. The experience was okay overall.

It’s 4 kms from the bus stop, and a reasonably priced place to stay. The staff were courteous, and that’s why I gave it 3 stars. Still, it felt deserted, with few tourists and not much support staff. I carried my own bags to the room and back to the car, and the receptionist didn’t offer to help. After I paid, he wanted me to leave a 5-star rating so he could photograph it and send it to the owner. To me this is a marriage hall with rooms for wedding guests, rather than a resort. It has only 7 rooms.

When we visit Sariska again, we plan to stay here. The rooms were spacious, neat, and clean, and the food tasted awesome. Everyone was pleasant, and the manager and staff deserve credit for their service. They brought food for my child on time and followed my instructions.
