Oyo Sky Palace Near Lalbagh Botanical Garden

I've usually relied on Oyo whenever I travel, so this was the first time I was this upset with them. The rooms weren't up to the mark and the service was pathetic. There's no elevator, and I had to wake the staff myself and ask for hot bathing water because there are no geysers in the rooms. They said it wouldn't be available until 8-9AM. After asking and insisting several times, I got a heater rod kind of thing, but I had no idea how to use it. These were not the sort of experiences I expected from an Oyo flagship hotel.

We paid for a room for three, but there was no extra mattress. The TV didn't work, the AC was broken, and there was no hot water. The building looks old under fresh paint and is beside garbage, in a location that's hard to identify. The property manager kept insisting everything worked, while OYO did nothing to fix it. The owner told me I could complain to OYO and that he didn't care. Now the reply asks me to report the problems. If they were responsive, why would I have to post this? A complete waste of money.

It was okay overall, though the sheets had a few stains. We weren't told at reception that there was no TV, and there was no hot water either.

The staff were nice, but bed bugs kept me awake all night. The room needs much better attention to hygiene and cleanliness. A really bad stay.
