Citi Inn Grande Hotel

I had a great stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the front desk team were helpful, pleasant, and very efficient. The property was impressive from the moment I walked in. This is the best hotel I’ve ever been lucky enough to stay at.

I booked by phone on 21June after the online booking wouldn’t go through. The room was dirty, with an unclean cover and bedsheet. At lunch, the plate arrived with a ketchup pouch on it, but they replaced it after I called. Then the used plate and bowls sat there until we called again to have them collected. As a frequent visitor to Chandigarh, I won’t use this place again or recommend it. The experience was awful.

The bed linen had hair on it, the floors were dusty and dirty, and the washrooms were cramped. The exhaust fan didn’t work, and I was worried the dust might trigger allergies. Complaints went nowhere, and Manager Arvind and staff Mahesh didn’t respond. City Inn Grande shares space with companies, with some hotel rooms on different floors, and they aren’t maintained well. I’d avoid staying here with family. There are other nearby options with better rates and hospitality.

The manager Aravind was incredibly rude. It was my first time in Punjab, where people are known for warmth and friendliness, so his attitude stood out. He didn’t seem to know how to speak to guests, let alone manage the property, and even the hotel staff seemed fed up with him. It felt like the owners and management cared more about their bottom line than guest concerns. The room itself was disappointing too. Dust covered the balcony so badly that I could see footprints after stepping back inside. The flush didn’t work properly, the toilet was badly maintained and needs replacing, and the bathroom mirror was broken. There was no hot water because the geyser wasn’t working, and the WiFi was down as well.
