Capital O 9235 Hotel Nayyar

The hotel looks decent, but the service was terrible. Two friends and I stayed with our spouses during our Amritsar trip last week. The workers and bellhops wanted tips despite not helping. We carried almost all our luggage ourselves, and the bellhop still expected a tip. Dinner was included, but the food wasn't that great. When we found a strand of hair in one dish, the waiter didn't bother bringing another. There was no drinking water in the rooms either. I wouldn't choose this place.

We found the listing online, and I was happy with the location and price. Once we arrived, we fell in love with the charming little place. The room was excellent, with a microwave and refrigerator. We didn't have extra time to check out things like the pool, and had to skip the free breakfast as well. We're booked here again in October, and I'd highly recommend it.

This place doesn't deserve even one star. The room they show in the pictures was completely different from what we got, which was dusty, dirty, and had dirty bedsheets. I wouldn't consider it fit for a family stay. There were face covered girls, boys and girls coming for short stays, and lots of local boys at night. You may see illegal activities here. Be cautious. If you complain, staff use abusive language. When you argue about the facilities, they have goons, and the owner and staff themselves are like local goons. In short, this hotel is not suitable for families.

The Hotel Nayyar was very nice and clean once we got into our room. We arrived early Saturday morning after I'd requested an early check-in the day before, since my flight landed at 8am, but we couldn't check in early. It was more of an annoyance than a real problem. The staff apologized and had housekeeping rush the first available room for us. Everyone was friendly, from the front desk to the bell boys and housekeeping. They always greeted us with a smile and a hello. It was a great experience, and I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Amritsar.
