At about 12:30 a.m., the power suddenly went out. The switchboard kept clicking, there was no electricity, and the room soon felt suffocating. With no telephone in the room, we had to keep walking to reception for every little thing, which was frustrating. We’d booked this for our family, but were put on separate floors in very small, poorly maintained rooms without basic amenities. The staff were polite and tried to help, but management is responsible for a property that feels nowhere near 4-star standard. It seems guests are being overcharged while even basic facilities aren’t maintained, and the owner is doing guests a serious disservice. I’d advise families to stay away until major improvements are made.

Hotel CSJS is just 10 steps from The Golden Temple, and the view is to die for. Raj Bhai made such a difference, answering all my questions to my satisfaction and treating me more like family than just another guest. Raj, the manager, made sure every detail was right, and the whole staff were helpful. The ambience was beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and it was the best stay ever. I’d recommend Hotel CSJS to family and friends, and can’t wait to visit again.

We stayed for two days and had a very good experience. The hotel is literally close to the temple, and the staff were excellent. Mr. Raj Gill was especially cooperative. If you’re coming to Amritsar with family or friends, you can stay here without worries. Highly recommend it.

The breakfast had a really good mix of Indian and continental options. We came with my parents, and staff also arranged special meals when we asked, as well as helping with luggage. The place was spotless, with fresh, modern interiors, and the staff made a real effort to keep us comfortable. Since it’s so near the Golden Temple, we could walk there anytime, day or night, without dealing with traffic or a long ride. Their hospitality and convenience made our Amritsar trip unforgettable.
