Fabhotel Punjab Pride

It's a good location, behind Jallianwala Bagh, and rooms facing that way have a view of it from the window. The back gate of Golden Temple is hardly 200 meters away. Hotel Global Inn is owned by Punjab Pride and is only three years old, with fresh rooms. There are 29 rooms, 22 with double beds and 7 with four beds. Food is currently served from their ground-floor kitchen, and their nice restaurant on the fifth floor is expected to open soon. Parking isn't at the hotel; paid parking is available at a nearby designated place. They serve vegetarian food only.

The service was awful and the staff were completely unprofessional. Even after several complaints, nobody came to check whether the problem had been fixed. This hotel doesn't deserve even one star. If negative ratings were possible, I'd give it minus five. Never recommend it, and don't stay here.

We booked two triple-sharing rooms, but although the hotel claimed to offer king-size beds, they gave us double beds and one of us had to sleep on the floor. Staff wouldn't listen to our concerns and were completely uncooperative. A terrible experience, don't book here.

FabHotels took an advance but never confirmed my Punjab Pride booking with the hotel. I only learned that at reception after arriving, which was embarrassing and shocking, especially after traveling with my elderly mother. I had booked ahead to avoid that kind of last-minute stress. FabHotels gives no direct hotel contact details, and its customer support was just as poor. For cancellation and refund, there was no proper email or written communication. Staff repeated the same scripted lines without offering a real solution. Their only alternative was another property far from the location I chose, which wasn't workable with an elderly family member. That defeated the point of booking in advance. The whole process was frustrating, stressful, and unprofessional, and booking through FabHotels made the stay more expensive and complicated. I'd say never book through them. Call the hotel directly and negotiate the deal yourself, it's cheaper, more reliable, and avoids the hassle.
