Hotel Global Inn

I stayed with my family for three nights in Room No. 301, the Luxury Room with Jallianwala bagh view, at Hotel Global Inn. We left at the last minute because the experience was so bad. The room was much smaller than the advertised 180 sq ft and photos, with barely any space around the bed. The old, small TV had no DTH service and the local channels were useless. The centralized AC was often locked from reception, so we had to call each time we needed it. The hotel had only two staff members for the whole property, including the kitchen, and there was no dining area. GOIBIBO listed meal options, but food could only be ordered to the room. Luckily we hadn’t booked meals because we wanted to try local food. Hot water stopped after the first day. We got only mildly warm water after calling reception for half an hour, then had to bathe in cold water on days two and three despite repeated calls and no response. The room wasn’t cleaned daily unless we asked, and even then the cleaning was poor. We had to request emptying the bins, and the bedsheet wasn’t changed. There was a kettle but no cups for tea or coffee. After we called, a staff member brought one that was half broken. Customer satisfaction should be a top priority in this business.

The room was dirty and poorly maintained, the bathroom had no hot water, and the AC barely worked. There was no parking, despite the listing showing that it was available, which caused a lot of inconvenience. The staff were careless and unprofessional, and nobody addressed the problems after repeated complaints. The hotel didn’t match its online photos or promises. It was overpriced and not worth even one night. I’d never recommend staying here.

The property is so close to the Gurudwara’s main entrance that it takes only a short two to five-minute walk. Several guests mention how convenient that is for early morning or late-night prayers without having to worry about transport.

We arrived around 9 AM because our flight schedule had changed, and although the rooms were ready, the hotel charged ₹800 extra per room for just a few hours of early check-in. That seemed unreasonable. The rooms weren’t clean, and since we were traveling with an infant, we asked to have the floors cleaned right away. We were told it couldn’t be done until after 2 PM, even though we had paid extra to check in early. I also asked for extra mattresses for both rooms. After several calls to reception went nowhere, I had to go there myself before they arranged them. The whole experience was disappointing. I’m not sure if it was a management problem or peak season, but I wouldn’t expect this service from a hotel with otherwise good ratings and reviews.
