The location is handy for the temple and Heritage market, and the staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are cozy, and the food at the in-house restaurant is good too. The rooms do need refurbishment, though; it seems that hasn’t been done in a while.

We’ve stayed here a few times on our Amritsar visits for darshan. It’s a nice hotel for the price and location, with polite staff and genuinely kind, soft-spoken owners. The person at the main counter always greets us with “Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh,” which really sets the place apart. The in-house restaurant serves good food, and you can arrange a cab as well. We’ve found it a comfortable stay.

The location is the one real advantage: the hotel is opposite the Langar Hall and only a 3-4 minute walk from the Golden Temple. Our three-bed AC room was shockingly cramped, with no room to sit, and the toilet was filthy with constant waterlogging. It felt completely unhygienic for the price. The windows also open straight onto a common area, so there’s no privacy. This is only a choice if being near the Golden Temple matters more to you than comfort or hygiene.

The food was tasty, and the staff were helpful; the owners were very polite too. Being so close to darbar sahib was a big help for us. In room 205, I had two comfortable double beds, though the room itself was just okay. People outside could see into my room even with the curtains drawn. The old geyser worked, but it made the taps feel live with electricity.
