Hotel Smile Residency

The room was below average, and mosquitoes were a problem with no vaporiser or repellent. The replies we got were far beyond what we could have imagined. The owner should visit the property more often instead of just leaving it to the staff. It was an awful stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Anyone who finds it useful might choose a guest house and spend the money saved on something else.

At Smile inn in Amritsar, there was no Wi-Fi or TV, the AC wasn’t maintained properly and leaked water, and room service wasn’t adequate. The hotel authority took the full amount in advance, then changed their attitude completely. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Friends, please avoid it for a better holiday stay.

The staff across housekeeping, front desk, and the restaurant were all polite and humble, and the food was delicious. The spacious rooms were kept very neat and clean, and the other parts of the hotel were well maintained too. The location is very good. The GM deserves a mention for keeping the hotel in such good shape. I’m heading home today with fond memories and will definitely return to the same hotel on my next visit.

The room was unhygienic, with a strong cockroach smell, and the cockroaches frightened the two children who were with me. The bathroom smelled foul, the bed sheets were in a terrible state, and there wasn’t even a doorbell. Basic amenities were missing or broken too: the TV didn’t work, there was no hot water for bathing, the lighting was poor, the switchboard was broken, and the mirror was cracked. This made for an extremely uncomfortable stay and wasn’t worth the money. I’m very dissatisfied and ask for a refund for the inconvenience. I’ve attached pictures of the problems for reference. I’d urge you not to recommend this hotel to anyone. I’d heard good things about your hospitality, but this was by far my worst experience.
