OYO 15863 Hotel Royal Vij

The atmosphere was friendly, and the facilities were excellent.

I booked through oyo and it was the worst experience of my life. The room was tiny and smelly, with no TV or AC, torn sheets, dirty pillows, and a bathroom that smelled too. I paid an extra 500 to switch rooms, but the new one still smelled and wasn't much better. The blankets were dirty as well. I strongly recommend never booking here, especially with family.

The food was very costly. I stayed for two days, though, and found the small rooms clean and the washroom nice. My experience was just nice overall.

I paid 1600 for rent for two rooms, but at checkout they asked for 160 rupees for two bottles of water and 20 rupees for a one-page printout, claiming 100 rupees was a mineral water service charge. When I asked for the room bill, they refused to give it to me. I have called them since, and they still won't send it by email or WhatsApp. The manager said I hadn't paid the full amount, so they wouldn't provide the bill, and told me to come to Amritsar to collect it from the hotel. Worst experience. I would never recommend going there. They are fraud people. Ask about the bill before visiting, and check it at checkout before paying.
