OYO 9055 Hotel Rich Inn

This turned into a nightmare, with my family and me facing an embarrassing situation. We had booked well ahead, but the owner initially refused to give us a room. After we discussed the booking, he said we couldn't check in because we'd paid less than their standard room rate and would have to pay extra to stay. Why show a lower price when you won't accept it? Why book in advance if there's a last-minute rush anyway? They should have cancelled earlier so we could look elsewhere. When we asked to cancel and get a refund, they said it wouldn't be refunded. The answers to all those reasonable questions were unprofessional, unsatisfactory, and unacceptable.

The room was unclean, and the photos on the apps were completely different from what we found. The owner charged extra for everything, including food and bottled water, and you had to ask him repeatedly before he'd listen to a service request. At checkout he asked to see my phone to check the booking ID, then submitted five-star ratings and positive reviews without my knowledge. I've contacted OYO multiple times, but no action has been taken. One star is more than this place deserves.

After we'd been there for 15-20 minutes, the manager called and demanded another 2k for the stay, saying we'd booked through OYO for too little. He'd first acted sweet and caring, checked our details, and handed us a key. We ended up leaving around 1am after staying nearly 1-2 hours because he kept asking for an unreasonable amount. If you've booked online, don't pay the hotel anything extra. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The actual room was nothing like the photo on OYO. It was tiny, unventilated, damp all over, and dirty. The staff were arrogant, and at first they wouldn't accept my OYO booking at the listed price, though they gave us a room when they saw I was tired and with my family. I couldn't even leave a rating on the OYO app afterward. Maybe a staff member had already given it five stars for me after taking my phone for a few minutes during checkout. Worst hotel I've booked through OYO.
