Tejas Dream House

It was 5-6 degrees outside, but the cozy room was warm. After travelling around the city all day, I slept well.

The caretaker had no basic sense of hospitality. After we asked for cutlery and rang the bell, he simply barged into the room. The washroom gutter was right outside, and on check-in day it was being cleaned, leaving an unbearable stench and making the place feel unhygienic. There was no ventilation in the room either. We booked for three people but got only a double bed. When we asked where the third person would sleep, they casually suggested a quilt on the floor, which isn't what you expect when paying for a proper stay. The so-called free breakfast was one kulcha per person, not even a tawa paratha, and another would cost extra. Tea wasn't included either, which is strange for breakfast. The one good thing is how close it is to the Golden Temple. That was the only positive. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, don't let it ruin your trip.

The staff were just young boys who didn't know how to speak to guests, and all the Google reviews are fake. There was mould everywhere, even on the pillows. Breakfast was only a kulcha from the dirty shop across the road. There was no hot water, and the AC would suddenly stop working every day when the power went out.
