I can’t speak for the luxury rooms since I stayed in a regular one. The location worked well, right by the highway and close to the city, and the room had a geyser with hot water available 24/7. I checked in at 3 am and the receptionist was helpful. They gave us a discount, offered breakfast, and even offered to help get my car repaired. The room itself was dusty, though, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for several days. I first had to switch rooms because the bathroom was dirty, and then I found a cockroach on the bed.

The room was cramped, with hardly any space to sit, and the service was slow and unprofessional. Staff didn’t respond even after I asked several times, and they wouldn’t provide an extra blanket or bed, though I was willing to pay. There wasn’t even a dustbin, hot drinking water, soap, or shampoo. Despite all those problems, the lodge didn’t lower the price or offer any compensation. It was an uncomfortable stay with little hospitality, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Management needs to improve.

The renovation made a big difference. The rooms are cleaner now, the lighting and fittings are better, and the place has a more modern feel. I wasn’t expecting GPR Grand, Anantapur to be this good. Getting there is easy too. It’s right on the highway, easy to spot, and convenient when travelling between Bangalore and Hyderabad. You step straight onto the main road without having to navigate confusing turns or back alleys.

The suite rooms are especially luxurious, and the other rooms are cool and nice too. Service was really good. It’s a good hotel, and the prices are affordable.
