Anjuna Beach Resort

We’ve visited many times and usually had a good experience with the manager, who was friendly this time too. But this was the first visit that left me so disappointed, and I definitely won’t return. The boys kept nagging us from the moment we arrived and first demanded extra money because we booked online. When we asked to speak to the manager, they agreed not to charge it. They wouldn’t provide even basic water without charging extra, and the rooms had no basic water heater or fridge. Food and drinks were a little more expensive than usual. The two stars are only for the manager, not for the stay or the way we were treated.

The pool area is nice and the place is kept clean. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast isn’t included, which is fine, since the food here isn’t tasty.

My stay at Anjuna Beach Resort was a letdown. The room was unclean and the overall maintenance seemed poor. What bothered me most was the owner, Mr. Joseph. When I raised the issues, he was dismissive and arrogant, as if my concerns didn’t count. There were some good aspects, but the poor service and lack of cleanliness overshadowed them. I’d advise others to look elsewhere unless they address the cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service issues. Staff and management could use training in customer service and resolving conflicts.

The room they gave me was a super deluxe, but it was no more than 150 ft.², even though booking sites such as MakeMyTrip show a room of 485 ft.² with different amenities. You may also wait hours for small things like towels and other services. The intercom doesn’t work, so you can’t reach them in an emergency. The washrooms are unclean, toiletries aren’t provided, and the shower is choked. They need a complete renovation and should stop looting visitors. God knows how they treat guests in the economic rooms. Property owners, visit and see the ground reality for yourselves.
