The peacocks wandering freely around the property added a lot to my stay at Laguna Anjuna. I was there for more than 15 days, and never felt like changing my booking or finding somewhere else. The rooms are roomy and beautifully designed, and the service was consistently excellent. It was quiet and comfortable enough that I ended up extending my vacation. Ask for Subhash if you need anything, he's a very sweet chap.
Laguna Anjuna made our Christmas holiday memorable, and we'd love to come back. It's a peaceful, green property with an old Portuguese style and the amenities we needed. Our rooms were clean, spacious, and well looked after. From check-in through check-out, the staff were courteous and helpful, especially Subhash Dada, who was always ready with a smile. We also enjoyed spotting the two black-and-white cats and two lovely peacocks.
The peaceful mornings were a highlight for me. You can hear leaves fall on the roof, and sometimes mangoes too, with friendly cats around and the chance of seeing wild peacocks on the grounds. Laguna Anjuna has a vintage feel, and each room has its own character. The bathrooms are spacious and have bathtubs, while the staff are welcoming and helpful. It's also close to Anjuna Beach and some great restaurants. A distinctive, quiet place to stay away from the usual bustle.
We booked nine rooms for 21 people, all with different expectations and needs, and the place managed to meet them with its hospitality, tranquility, charm, and positive feel. The setting has a quaint village atmosphere, and service always came with a smile. Rooms were spacious, very clean, and well maintained, with an old Portuguese feel. Anjuna beach is a relaxed 10-15 minute walk away.
The breakfast won me over, especially the alu parathas and bread omlette. They even took my tastes into account, which earned them a brownie point. Room service was good too. Laguna Anjuna is my kind of Goa stay: a quiet heritage side of the state, with green landscaping, old-world architecture, and a calm, intimate atmosphere. I could sit among the greenery with coffee and birdsong, enjoy slow mornings, and meditate in the soothing surroundings. For someone who isn't into parties, this vintage heritage boutique hotel is a perfect retreat. I loved it and plan to return again and again. It's one of those corners of Goa worth noticing, where you can slow down, enjoy nature, reconnect with yourself, and head home refreshed.
