Meraden Opus

The checkout incident on 30th December around 6 PM left us feeling extremely unsafe. Two female guests were involved, and receptionist Rohit harassed us. A male staff member was sent to follow us within minutes of our entering the hotel, without telling us. We had told Rohit we would leave after changing and using the bathroom, but at 6:05 PM he called the room landline, shouted continuously for around 10 minutes, said “it’s not my problem,” and forcefully told us to leave. The incident should be verifiable in the CCTV footage from 6:00-6:10 PM and the hotel’s landline call recordings. Senior citizens and female guests were with us, which made the behavior feel even more frightening. I’ve never been treated this way at a 3- or 4-star hotel. We paid ₹15,000 for three nights at Meraden Opus Hotel, plus ₹3,000 for late checkout, or ₹5,000 a night before that. The food was another problem: when we had lunch on 28th Dec, the noodles contained hair and pieces of steel scrubber, and we got food poisoning. The raita also spilled over the biryani in the food packing. Lobby staff watched movies loudly and acted unprofessionally. With no breakfast included, this wasn’t worth ₹5,000 per night. The staff seem to lack basic hospitality training. I regret booking and would avoid this place, especially when travelling with family or women.

Everything about the stay was great, and the hotel itself was nice. The fish fingers are a must-try snack.

The staff were very cooperative, and breakfast, which was included, was good. The pool was nice and on the rooftop, though a little smaller than it looked in the pictures. The hotel is right by the main street, so there are no narrow lanes to cross. I expected more luxurious rooms, though, and the balcony was unclean with a view of a dumpster.

The staff are very polite and cooperative. Arjit mourya in particular is a really good person and very helpful. The hotel is very good.
