The location is the best thing here, very close to Anjuna beach. For a cheap room to leave your bags and crash, it may do, but I wouldn’t expect much else. There’s no AC or refrigerator, and the wifi wasn’t working. The place wasn’t maintained or cleaned well: dirty walls, sheets with odd red and black stains that didn’t smell fresh, a leaking tap, a faulty shower, and doors that didn’t work properly. The owner doesn’t live here, which may explain the upkeep. At this low price, maybe that’s what you get, but it wasn’t worth it for me.

The location was handy for the beach, but we had no wifi in the rooms, the electricity cut out many times a day, and it was extremely noisy. The room quality was poor for such a high price. Our first room had no AC, no furniture besides the bed, a very hard mattress, and a blanket that smelled awful. When we complained, the owner offered a better room for 3000 rupees if we cancelled through the booking website. That room did have AC, some furniture, and a balcony, but it still had bugs, a hard mattress, and an unclean bathroom. We eventually negotiated the extra charge down to 1000 instead of 3000 for three nights. This was honestly the worst place we stayed in India. Our friends were at the hotel behind for less money and had a much better stay.

The new lounge and cafe are handy when you’d rather stay close to your base, and the owner pays attention to how guests are doing. It’s positioned between the beach and the market. If you want to skip Anjuna’s more built-up areas, this spot works well.

I had a terrible stay. There were used condoms in the bathroom, and the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. It was really awkward. The owner or manager wasn’t helpful, and nobody answered when I called to complain. I wouldn’t return to this guesthouse or recommend it.
