Star Home by OYO Rooms

We were five people staying at Star Homes, and the room was not clean. There weren’t enough blankets, either: we were given three for the five of us. The bathroom had no hot water, and when we asked for some, the manager rudely told us to leave the room. One of the boys there did try to help, but everything else was very inconvenient. Families shouldn’t go there, even by mistake.

A chill, peaceful place to stay. The staff were so cooperative and helpful, and I had a very good experience here.

A hornets’ nest in the bathroom was the last straw. Room 102 was dusty and mouldy, everything was broken, none of the power points worked, and the towels and bed were stained. I arrived in the morning and couldn’t find anyone to receive guests for half an hour. When I said I wanted to cancel and check out, the owner haggled over Rs. 400 for the hour I’d spent there, which was how long it took me to find all the room’s problems. He said it was to cover the penalty Oyo would charge him for the cancellation. I don’t see why that should be charged to the guest. Pathetic. Avoid this place at all costs, for your own sake. 🙏🏽

The rooms were so dirty. We saw two or three different ones, and every one had unclean floors and terrible beds. There was no hot water or even drinking water, and my partner and I both felt a kind of negativity in the place. I don’t know if anyone else feels the same. We’d booked through Oyo, but when we arrived, nobody was there to attend to us. A banner had two phone numbers. The person who answered the first said he had no hotel or guest house and hung up. The second number belonged to the owner, who said they’d stopped working with Oyo more than two years ago and that bookings had to be made offline. He sent someone to reception, who quoted 2000 for one night. After a 16-hour journey we were exhausted and felt we had no choice, so we bargained and settled on 1500.
