Tantra Beach Shack And Huts

It was so nice to wake up to the waves and birds, staying in the trees near the ocean. The tree house is a fixed Rs 999 for one night, and any of the huts are great too. They’re set at different heights, so there’s enough privacy. The receptionist is helpful and easygoing, and the sofa area out front is a great spot to eat or just chill. Kudos!

The setting is lovely for a relaxed evening, with near-perfect sunset views and a good spot for drinks. It’s a super-comfy beach cafe, though the food is average and the cocktails are pretty average too. They do a ritual pooja in the evening, which I’d never seen on a seaside before. There are raised traditional floor-seating areas, with charging points at every table, handy for charging devices while you have a drink. Food service takes forever, and 3 out of 7 times the orders were wrong.

This was my first visit this year, and it’s one of my favourite places in Goa. The beach section is nicely secluded, and the shacks are really comfortable. Staff were accommodating, and I had a great laugh with them, which made the stay memorable. The food was very good and the portions were generous. The shacks stayed cool at night, so sleeping in Anjuna was easy, even with famous Curlies playing psy trance until the early hours nearby. If you go to Anjuna, you have to stay here :)

We arrived around 11 am, already tired and hungry, and ended up staying until 5 pm. We’d have stayed longer if we hadn’t needed to catch our flight. This is a great beach shack and restaurant where you can rest and eat in one place. Our group of three even got in a short nap before ordering plenty of food. There’s a huge menu, especially for seafood, and the dishes were fresh and good quality, with generous portions. They’ll customize food to your request, and the prices are reasonable. The natural setup, made with wood, coconut leaves, and cloth, keeps the heat down. The cool sea breeze and background music made it feel calm and relaxing. It has the best ambience I found on Anjuna beach. It suits families, couples, and friends. Of the many beach shacks there, this is my favourite.
