Taj Santacruz

Breakfast was the highlight at Taj Santacruz, with an enormous spread and attentive staff ready with tea, coffee, or freshly prepared hot dishes. Our chauffeur service for a city tour was excellent, though a little expensive. Checkout was quick and hassle-free. We’d booked through Booking.com for May 2025. When our flight was delayed, the hotel contacted me proactively, arranged transportation, and welcomed us at the airport. At the hotel, a traditional tilak and aarti made check-in feel special, and they also arranged early arrival smoothly. The room was comfortable with a great runway view. After a shower, some water spilled onto the bathroom floor. I also had to update my card details through a separate link, even though the booking was confirmed. I enjoyed the stay and would happily return.

The food was wonderful, from mocktails and small plates to the main course and desserts, with lots of good choices. Suraj was warm and patient at our table, knew the menu well, and helped us choose both dishes and the right portion sizes. Mr Gurvinder, the restaurant manager, also made sure we were well looked after. It was lovely celebrating my Mom’s birthday at Taj Santacruz. This was my third visit, and it always feels like coming home, with the team’s warmth and hospitality. They made the occasion extra special with a complimentary cake and welcome drinks. Everyone was attentive and genuinely kind. Amazing food, lovely people, and a place that feels like home. Thank you ❤️

I’ve stayed at Taj Santacruz four times now, most recently for two nights, so it’s clearly a hotel I enjoy returning to. The rooms are among the largest I’ve experienced in Mumbai, with elegant design and interiors that feel luxurious. They’re comfortable enough to relax in even on a busy trip. Service is consistently warm and professional, and the standards feel true to the Taj brand. I also look forward to the breakfast buffet every time. Its variety, quality, and presentation make it one of the best in Mumbai.

The dinner was a big disappointment. Although we asked staff to refill empty dishes, they didn’t do it, and we finished the meal with the food still not replenished. The live fish counter at the entrance to Tiqri made the whole dining area smell of fish, which was very uncomfortable for me as a vegetarian. We booked Taj Santacruz through the "Neu pass" for our anniversary and received good discounts on the room and food. The rooms were spacious and well done, and the bath area was particularly roomy and very clean. Bath products were from Forest Essentials and made exclusively for the Taj. Our stay included breakfast and lunch or dinner. Breakfast had lots of variety and was well managed. We’d requested a runway view, but didn’t get one. When we asked to change rooms, we were promised a move, then heard nothing despite repeated follow-ups. We had to go down to reception three times to get it sorted, which was a hassle. The staff were friendly and hospitable, but their slow response to requests was a real turnoff.
