Lotus Sutra

The breakfast buffet was the one letdown, with only around three items plus a fruit and juice, watermelon during our stay. Still, it didn’t overshadow the trip. The resort has a serene, lush feel, with greenery, Buddha statues and soothing spiritual music throughout, and the well-kept reception lobby fits that calm atmosphere. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the food was good and satisfying. I spent two relaxing days here. The first night was in a spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed Premium Luxury Cottage, then I moved to a Pool View Balcony Room, which had a lovely view and peaceful vibe. Being right on the beach, with private beach access, made it easy to go to the sea anytime. Lotus Sutra Resort is a beautiful beachfront spot for a calm, rejuvenating stay in North Goa, and I’d happily recommend it.

Friendly service, good food and a nice atmosphere by a lovely beach. For the price, it feels like five-star value. I haven’t stayed anywhere else in Arambol, but I can hardly imagine choosing somewhere else if we return.

The wooden cottages with partial sea views disappointed me. They cost the same as the premium luxury rooms with pool views, but they’re much smaller and have limited amenities. I’ve stayed in both types over the years. This was my third visit to Lotus Sutra Beachfront Resort with my family in the past decade, and we enjoyed our time again at the beautiful property. The resort is right by the beach, with about a 150-metre walk from our room to the shoreline. The Arambol flea market is hardly 200 metres away. The colourful Goan atmosphere is lovely, and there’s ample vehicle parking. Kids have recreational activities, there’s a swimming pool, and restaurant service is available poolside and in the rooms. Reception and restaurant staff are courteous and welcoming, with top-notch hospitality. I love this property and make a point of staying here whenever I visit Goa because it makes the trip memorable and relaxing.

Room service was a bit slow and inconsistent, unlike the rest of the stay. The location is perfect, right on the beach, and the resort felt relaxing and welcoming. The whole team was warm, attentive and genuinely friendly. Special mention to Suhail Akhtar, the poolside singer. He has an incredible voice, and after I told him I love John Mayer, he sang a couple of my favourite songs and dedicated them to me. That personal touch made an already great few days memorable.
