We were on the second floor, with no lift, and the place didn’t look like the photos from the outside or around the parking area. It felt shady. The narrow staircase was broken in places, and the railings were wobbly, which made it scary. We’d already paid for all five days and couldn’t find another place at the last minute, so we had to stay. The room interior was okay and decent, and the kitchen was usable, but the bathroom and bedsheets weren’t clean. Don’t expect the kitchen or bathroom to be cleaned daily during a five-day stay. Nobody even took out the trash. I believe the house help came after we left for sightseeing to clean rooms that had been vacated for new guests. We saw her around 11 once, when we were leaving a bit late. When we asked about parking while booking, we were told it would be provided. After reaching Goa, we called for directions and said we’d rent a car to get there, and were told only two-wheeler parking was available. Imagine taking two big suitcases from Panaji to Arambol on a two-wheeler. Even that parking wasn’t decent: only two two-wheelers fit, and one has to be moved for the other to get out. You can park only inside the gate, since the outer area belongs to another homestay owner and is used by their guests. We found the host a bit rude. He gave us lectures about how to speak to elders instead of sorting out our issues. My advice is not to be taken in by the pictures. The room interior looked like them once we were inside, but the outside view and parking didn’t, and they don’t clean daily.
