The Regalia Resort

The check-in, checkout, and billing were among the best parts of a great stay. We had a lovely breakfast, a fun pool, well-organized rooms with amenities, and fantastic service. The sea-view rooms have a great view and sunset. It’s a great location too, within walking distance of the beach and restaurants like Gyatso, Quebarbeque, ashwim351. 😍

Breakfast was a real highlight, with excellent Continental and Indian choices, plus Goan treats like bebinca and Goan pao on the à-la-carte menu. It was good enough that we skipped lunch most days. The pool was very clean and clearly looked after, which we especially loved for my daughter. Staff also helped arrange a rental car, taxis were easy to find outside, and there was secure motorcycle parking inside with staff ready to help. That mattered on my cross-country motorcycle trip, especially with a heavy bike, and there’s a fuel station conveniently close. We also loved the friendly resident dog and Persian cat at reception. The setting is calm in the evenings, with lo-fi/jazz music and a peaceful mix of couples, families, and solo travelers. It’s within walking distance of a quiet, reflective beach and the flea market. Our cozy balcony room upstairs had a pleasant landscape view with a hint of sea. The room had the expected toiletries, tea set, electric kettle, and hair dryer for the price, though some rooms have a fridge and ours didn’t. A few practical things could be better. Rooms are compact, comfortable for couples or small families but tight for more people, and the bathrooms are small for the price despite being fully equipped. More hooks or hanging space would help on a longer stay. The hut-style wooden walls had small gaps between boards; no insects came in during our stay, but better sealing would be more comfortable. Our balcony door didn’t lock, which is a safety concern worth checking in other rooms too. There’s no lift or wheelchair access, and the central stone staircase between levels can be tiring, especially for guests with mobility issues. Parking on a slope can be tricky with a heavy motorcycle, though staff were quick to assist. I stayed in December on the solo motorcycle trip, with my wife and daughter joining me for this leg. It was a relaxed, thoughtfully run beachside stay. With some practical improvements to safety and accessibility, it could go from very good to outstanding. We’d happily come back and recommend it. The hospitality was superb, and the room service staff were very gentle. I stayed five nights at regalia resort in North Goa and found the visit very pleasant.
