Right beside the hotel there's a large store and a café with excellent food. The courtyard was another highlight, with a little pool, flowers, shady palms, and other trees in a cozy green space. Nevil, the charming owner, was especially welcoming and attentive, always ready to listen and help. His manner made the place feel warm and homey. Our room was cozy and spotlessly clean, with fresh bed linen, everything we needed, well-kept furniture, and a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The staff also went out of their way to make guests comfortable. One useful detail for first-time visitors to the Mandrem Wildlife Sanctuary area: getting to the beach by the bamboo bridge requires a special pass. Guards won't let you through without it, so otherwise you'd need to detour to Mandrem Beach (1.5 km) or Ashwem Beach (1.0 km). The hotel issues a pass at check-in for guests staying there. We had a really positive stay and will definitely come back. I recommend it to anyone after a relaxing break with a hospitable, comfortable atmosphere.

My husband and I loved our stay and gave it 5 stars. The hotel feels underrated, and Neville, the owner, was kind and quick to help, always trying to make things pleasant for us. When we first entered the room it was a little dirty, so we cleaned it ourselves and made it cozy. We also watched the pool get cleaned and filled right in front of us.

Really good value for the price.
