Hotel Dronagiri

Room service was good, but the rooms were very average and the property felt overpriced. At 4500 for a room, it’s costly, especially with so few guests around these days. Food choices were very limited.

The staff were helpful, and hot water was available. This might work for families, and there are rooms with five beds, but the place wasn’t very clean and felt like an old dharmshala. The biggest downside is that the washrooms aren’t attached to the rooms. For the amenities and atmosphere, it was costly.

Mr. Amit at the front desk was very courteous and helped us out with our last-minute booking. The hotel has good parking and a convenient location. The rooms are small but comfortable. We didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on it. You probably don’t need an AC room unless you plan to use the air conditioning for heat.

For 4500 a day, the deluxe room felt far too basic. Other hotels would offer the same things for 2k at most. The TV was mediocre, the heater barely worked, and the room wasn’t cleaned. We had to call reception just to get the trash removed. Power cuts in the middle of the day could last for hours, which was a hassle. When the market was closed for a day, we kept ordering from the hotel restaurant, but the food was average and the prices felt very high. The cheapest rooms are placed close to shared bathrooms, so you get hit by the smell of a public bathroom whenever you step outside. I’d rather spend my hard-earned money somewhere that gives better value.
