Hotel Green Olive

There's not much open space here, just a hotel building in an easy-to-reach spot on the main road in Aurangabad. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are helpful. I'd recommend it for a one or two night stay.

Our night at Green Olive Hotel was disappointing. We asked to check out late because our bus left in the evening and we wanted to shower before leaving, but were told it wasn't possible. We accepted that. We then asked whether we could pay a reduced rate for an extra day, since we wouldn't stay overnight or use breakfast or other services, and were refused again. In a rush at reception, we booked another night online without noticing it was listed for one person. We explained that one of us would go up for a quick shower, come down, and then the other would do the same, so it made no difference. They still wouldn't make an exception. We accepted it, as before, but found their lack of understanding frustrating. We then tried to cancel the booking, which had been made five minutes earlier and had no one checked in. Agoda called the hotel while we stood there, but the manager, Mr. Gajanan, firmly refused the cancellation. Seeing that call unfold was shocking. A simple, human decision could have resolved it, but we got rigid rules and indifference instead. We understand policies exist and that they were technically within their rights. What disappointed us was the complete lack of empathy, flexibility or common sense. This isn't about the money, it's about the hotel's approach. Hospitality comes down to how people are treated when being flexible costs nothing.

The central location made it easy to get to nearby places, and the room service, quality of execution and general ambience were awesome. My stay at the green olive felt cozy and homely, and I really enjoyed the tranquility. 10/10, a must stay for sure!

Our stay at Hotel Green Olive was badly affected by the receptionist, Gajanand Pawar. He was rude, unprofessional and outright disrespectful. A straightforward check-in turned into a delay of almost three hours because of arbitrary rules and document requests that Booking.com and the hotel hadn't told us about before arrival. My wife, who is German, faced unnecessary scrutiny and no courtesy, making the situation hostile and uncomfortable. Despite the hotel causing the delay, we were charged the full room amount. I strongly advise international travelers to be cautious, since the requirements weren't disclosed transparently. Plenty of other hotels know how to treat international guests professionally. We won't return.
