The hotel charges like a 4 star, but the stay felt like a cheap motel. We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. The experience was average, and hospitality was below average. There’s no lift for half the building, or to the restaurant, so avoid booking if you’re traveling with senior citizens or have knee problems. Also, DO NOT TAKE CABS FROM HOTEL. The driver the hotel arranged for our trip from gangtok to Siliguri airport was rude, impolite and extremely rash. He argued when we asked him to slow down. I’d advise against using their cabs.

The family suite was quite good, and our parents were comfortable there. It had a balcony with beautiful views. The hotel is close to MG Marg, which made getting around easy, and the food was good. Some staff were especially helpful, particularly the polite, quick, supportive porters. Our premium room was a different story. It didn’t look like the photos online and was near the smoking zone. Since it was late at night, we stayed in it. When we returned two days later and asked for a room elsewhere, the request wasn’t really considered. They showed us another room, but it was very small. Overall a good hotel, though room assignments and accurate photos need work.

The mountain and valley views were excellent, and the rooms were really good. The food was tasty too. Duty Manager Ms Phurmit Lepcha took special care of us and arranged car parking. All the staff were efficient, and I especially want to thank the two ladies who looked after my kid. I’d definitely recommend this place and visit again. Thanks once again.

The food was delicious, with a fantastic range and top-notch quality. Mrs Pramila, the Restaurant Manager, went out of her way to meet all our food demands, which made dining feel special. What really made Summit Tatkshang memorable was the team. They were attentive and genuine, and made us feel at home and thoroughly pampered. They even let us check in early, which helped a lot after traveling. I rarely write reviews, but they deserve one. We’re already sad to have left and miss the place. It’s a comfortable, welcoming stay, and it’s clear the team cares about the details. 10/10, can’t wait to go back!

The location is what clinches it for me. Stairs lead from the hotel down to MG Marg, and the market is around 50 to 200 meters away, so you’re right in the middle of things. The food was good, and breakfast and dinner had a nice range of choices each day. Staff were prompt, courteous and helpful. The facilities were good too. The staff were professional, polite and helpful. WiFi could be better throughout the room, though that might be because we had a 2 Bedroom Suite. I’d choose this hotel again when I come back to Gangtok.
