Hotel Indraprasth

The management were polite and helpful, the food was good quality, and the hotel is near several good spots in Aurangabad. My stay was good overall. The building is old and not very technically sound. The room wasn’t clean: I found hairs on the bed, and the Almarih wasn’t clean either. The A/C was broken and the drainage system wasn’t good. The hotel should improve its facilities.

We arrived late Friday night, around 12:30-1, and had to pay the full amount upfront because we weren’t direct customers. This was a replacement hotel arranged after our previous hotel, Hotel Family Inn, and I’ve reviewed that place separately too. With no other option at that hour, we tried to sleep for 7-8 hours and leave. The rooms, beds, and washroom were all bad and stinking. There were three of us, but the replacement room was only for two, so I slept on the floor with bedsheets. At 6am the owner knocked heavily and made us change rooms because he wanted to give ours to other guests. He yelled that we didn’t get first preference since we weren’t their customers. There was no water when we got up; it came after 30 minutes. They said hot water wasn’t available yet and asked us to wait. About 20 minutes later, they brought one bucket, heated with a coil. A manager apologized at the end, but the damage was already done, and our money had been paid in advance. Please don’t book here.

Very poor management and equipment.

The rooms were nothing like the pictures: dingy, with leaking pipes and cockroaches. There was even excrement smeared on the stairs. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The staff were extremely rude and seemed to try to get more money at every chance, often by lying about what we had paid. We left by bus for another city thinking our bills were settled, but somehow they contacted the driver and demanded road tax for a car trip we’d taken. I never write bad reviews, but this place and the people running it were awful. Stay well away.
