Not a place I'd consider suitable for families. The room had no ventilation, and neither did the bathroom, which also wasn't kept clean. Sheets and blankets were dirty. There was no hot water setup, just a regular heating coil that you had to put in a bucket, which felt dangerous. No parking for four-wheelers either. Even one star is too much. Check all this before booking.

For a medium budget trip, especially if you're from the West, I'd recommend this affordable Indian hotel. The room is a good size and has some style, with a clean king bed, reliable Wi-Fi, AC, a little balcony, hot water, and a decent set of towels and toiletries. The hot water is available for now, at least. They don't provide toilet paper, though I'm getting used to not expecting that in India. Staff were friendly and quick.

It's an ordinary hotel with friendly service and a handy spot near the bus stand, but the amenities are lacking. The tap only gives lukewarm water, and their immersion heater takes a long time. Cable TV wasn't working and they couldn't fix it, while the Wi-Fi is very weak. Odd rule: they give toilet tissue only to foreigners. Haha.

I booked because it was cheap, though the location gets a 1. Amenities and cleanliness get a 4: the place was clean, but some tiles were chipped. No morning tea before 8:30 wasn't okay, and they wouldn't even take an order because people hadn't got up at 7:30. At checkout there was no one at the desk since they had other things to do. This place needs someone who cares about running a hotel.

The washrooms were neat and clean, and the food was really tasty and fresh. Service was very good too. The rooms are good, just not very spacious. There are hospitals all around, so that's reassuring, and if you get bored, there's a theatre right across the road. 😄
