Hotel Maa Vaishno

The location is the big advantage here. Although the hotel sits in a narrow lane, a few turns bring you to the main places. Ram Mandir gate is about an 8-10 minute walk, while Kanak bhawan, Dasrath Mahal, and Hanuman Garhi are around 15 minutes away on foot. It’s on the opposite side from the chaotic areas, so after visiting, it’s easy to return while people heading the other way struggle through the crowds. You can get a rickshaw from Hanuman Garhi to Saryu ghat. Call the hotel before arriving at the station and they can arrange a rickshaw at a nominal rate, I paid 150. They even called me about pickup. The young staff are cheerful and keen to help. There’s no restaurant, but an in-house kitchen offers room service, and you can eat in the common area. Food quality was pretty good, although serving took 45-60 minutes. At checkout, they wished me well and gave me a cloth printed with Jai Shree Ram, a lovely gesture. They also arranged a rickshaw to the station. The hotel is brand new and the whole building is very clean. My room had high quality fittings, lights in every corner, and excellent false ceiling lights. Tea, coffee, an electric kettle, and stirrers were provided. The toilets had premium fittings, a geaser, and basic toiletries including shampoo, body wash, and soap. Most rooms don’t have windows, though. Only the front two or three rooms do, which seems typical of the UP building style.

We had a pleasant family stay. The staff were extremely courteous, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The main drawback is that there’s no lift. Ram Mandir and other holy sites are nearby. Security restrictions keep vehicles from reaching the hotel, but if you tell the staff in advance, they can arrange vehicle entry. Otherwise, it’s a 100 metre walk from the main road.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and eager to help. They took care of our travel arrangements within Ayodhya, which made the stay feel memorable. Ram ji Mandir is also within walking distance.

The location is ideal, with all the main attractions nearby, and the price was reasonable. Since the place has just opened, everything in the room is new. The rooms and toilets are clean and spacious, and the front desk staff are polite. Housekeeping could improve. Thanks to the owner, Tripathi ji, who helped a lot with directions to the hotel. Highly recommended.
