The washroom was already clogged and smelled bad, the lighting wasn’t proper, and the bedsheet and pillow were dirty. There were no beds, toiletries, or blankets, and none of the facilities shown in the description were there. I’ve stayed in many good homestays at reasonable prices, but they charged hotel room rates. I chose this place while travelling with my family, and it was the worst homestay. The owner, a husband and wife, were rude and inhospitable, and their son was very rude too. They charged extra at the end and pressured us to check out early. First they ask for advance payment, then when you arrive they cancel the booking and tell you to book offline.

In Ayodhya, we found that looking for a room in person can get you a more reasonable and comfortable place. Based on our stay, I’d be cautious about booking hotels or homestays online unless you’re sure of their quality. This was one of our worst homestay experiences: the room had no windows, so mosquitoes kept us awake, and it was dim and smelled bad. The toilets were poorly kept, there were no toiletries or blankets, and the sheets were dirty. The owners took our phone and left a good rating, so don’t rely on high ratings.

Ayush and his whole family treated us with so much warmth, especially my one-year-old daughter. We really appreciated their affection toward her. The place is close to Ram Janmabhoomi, and I’d recommend staying here.
