Radisson Resort and Spa Lonavala

The resort feels luxurious while still being family friendly. The spa, Tattva, kids' zone, small temple, and poolside outdoor grill all added something to our visit. Breakfast had a good mix of Indian and continental options, and the food was delicious, though on the expensive side. The road to the property is a little rough, but once you arrive it feels worth it. We came to Radisson Blu Plaza Resort & Convention Centre in Karjat for a family weekend and found a peaceful hill setting about two hours from Mumbai. Our room was modern, spacious, spotless, and had comfortable beds and a great view. The outdoor pool was a highlight, and the kids loved the play areas and gaming zone. Staff were especially polite and attentive at check-in and in the restaurants. A refreshing stay, and we’d definitely return.

The activities were the strongest part of our stay at Radisson Karjat. Pottery making, bangle making, caricature sessions, carrom, and table tennis were included, along with a few indoor games. The video game controllers weren’t working properly. Bowling cost around ₹800 per person, and some other games were paid too. Cycling was offered, but there was only one cycle and it wasn’t in good condition. We had booked a suite, and the room itself was decent, but the balcony was very dirty. Bathroom upkeep was poor: the tap came off in our hand, and the bathtub was so impractical in size that it felt like it was there just for show. Service was slow, and the staff didn’t feel warm or welcoming. The pool boundary had very rough edges that could hurt someone. At breakfast, many items had run out before service time was over. For a five-star hotel, cleanliness, maintenance, and service fell well short of expectations. The activities made the stay just about okay, but I wouldn’t recommend Radisson Karjat to anyone seeking a luxury or premium experience. It needs to maintain the standards associated with the Radisson brand.

We spent about two nights here, and the food was the main highlight. Nazma, Vishal, and Sashmi took care of us for most meals, and their hospitality was top notch. The property was good, though the villa didn’t have much of a villa feel, and hygiene standards need attention. Still, we had a good experience overall, especially because of the hospitality. Just a suggestion, the baby food menu could be a little bigger.

The gardens at Radisson Blu Plaza Resort & Convention Centre in Karjat were a refreshing part of the visit, with green plants, mature trees, and flowering beds all around the spacious grounds. Walking through them felt restful and gave the place that relaxed resort atmosphere. Our room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with modern conveniences including free Wi-Fi and reliable room service. Many rooms have lovely views of the surrounding hills and winding river, which made mornings feel especially peaceful. The food was also marvelous, with a broad spread ranging from Indian dishes to Western choices like fluffy pancakes and savory pasta. Staff were consistently courteous and ready to help. I’d gladly recommend this peaceful place to anyone looking to unwind.
