Hotel The Raghavas'

Ram Janambhoomi and Hanuman garhi, Ayodhya's two best-known temples, are only 200 mtrs away, so the location is superb. We stayed in an executive room; it was a bit smaller than I'd expected, though the ambience was good. Overall, we had a great experience.

The location was spot on, near Hanuman Gadhi, Ram Janmbhoomi, and Kanak bhawan. The manager was a gentleman, the staff were cordial, and the room was completely tidy. Our train was late, but they let us stay past checkout. Security guard Mishra jee greeted us with a lovely smile each time we came in. It was a blissful stay, and I'd love to visit again.

The staff were supportive and well behaved, and helped arrange rides to the airport and railway station. The mattress was soft and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of Shri ram janma bhoomi temple and hanuman garhi temple, and temple-authorized golf carts to either cost 20 INR per person. Sarayu ghat is farther away, but the carts go there too for 20 INR per person. For meals, Bangalore cafe near shri Ram Temple and udipi restaurant are options for hygienic, affordable food. The rooms are very small, have no windows, and I was given a basement room. There’s no restaurant at the hotel. Hot water wasn’t available and the water pressure was very low. Jain Mandir road is restricted to OLA / UBER, and the few E-rikshaw around charge a lot, so you have to negotiate.

The rooms had new cushions and bedsheets and were good quality. Staff were helpful, especially Mr. Aditya at reception, who was sweet and professional. You can reach all the main Ayodhya spots easily on foot. Getting to the hotel means walking, though, since vehicles are blocked on jain mandir road. Our rooms were in the basement, with no ventilation in either the rooms or bathroom, so staying longer than a day was tough. Hot water wasn’t available and the water pressure was weak. The cleaning staff didn’t seem professional, and the rooms weren’t clean enough before check-in. Still, the stay was satisfactory overall.
