Candolim Hideout Resort

I’m writing this feeling deeply upset about our experience with MakeMyTrip and Baga Beach Resort Hotels. I entered my older daughter’s age as 14 and my younger daughter’s as 9 in the MakeMyTrip app, but an application glitch showed both as “5Y, 5Y” on the confirmation. I tried calling MakeMyTrip customer care several times that morning while we were on the way to the hotel, as soon as I spotted the error. Nobody helped. We arrived at 4 PM, tired and with the children, after paying nearly ₹40,000 for a stay from 6th Dec check-in to 9th Dec check-out. The hotel staff immediately demanded around ₹17,000 extra for the kids, even though I’d entered their correct ages when booking. I contacted MakeMyTrip again at 4 PM. They acknowledged it was an application glitch, but said it was “offline” and I’d have to sort it out with the hotel. The hotel staff wouldn’t cooperate and were very rude. It felt like both the platform and hotel team were playing with us. We were in an unfamiliar place with our children, trusting MakeMyTrip to arrange a smooth stay, and ended up feeling helpless and cheated. It was painful and horrible. Please don’t depend on MakeMyTrip. They’re completely helpless once the booking is done. When planning a trip, contact the hotel directly, bargain and pay them directly. Avoid MakeMyTrip’s mediation. It could save you a lot of stress and sadness.
