This feels like a scam. We booked through the Agoda app three months ahead for December 30 to January 2, at about 2400 a night. Since we'd been caught out before, we asked whether they'd cancel if they got a better price. They said they wouldn't. On check-in day, we called and were told the resort was shut because of a recent fire. No one had told us beforehand, and they hadn't notified Agoda either. We had to find another hostel at the last minute, for three times the price. The resort seemed mostly closed.

They cancelled the property we'd booked without telling us. Really dishonest behavior. Don't book here unless you want to end up fighting for a refund. I can't recommend it.

We paid the full amount in advance, then arrived to find the hotel closed. After a lot of coordination, we were put in other accommodation at a higher cost. It wasted time, energy, and money, and disrupted our plans. Please check directly with the hotel before making an online booking.

Da Beach Box was a great place to stay from August 13 to 16. The rooms were big and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere and service from the owner were lovely. It was close to Baga Beach and suited both families and friends. There's an in-house bar at reasonable rates, pets are allowed, and car pickup and drop-off are available. Rental cars and bikes for self-drive were offered at reasonable rates too. I'm Gujarati, and they arranged vegetarian and Jain food for me. During the month of Sravan they also serve 'Farali'. Thanks again to the management. Regards, piyushdave, rajkot.
