The bathroom flush didn’t work. When we told the room service guy, he showed us a temporary fix and left. We also had to ask several times before anyone cleaned our room, and they didn’t provide bath soap, shampoo, toothpaste, or the like. The worst moment came at lunch: hungry after a long journey, we ordered roti subji and daal chawal rather than going out. After a couple of bites, my friend found a big insect cooked into the Chapati 🤮🤮. The receptionist took a photo and said he’d act on it, so we expected at least some reduction in the bill. At checkout, they refused compensation, claiming the restaurant was separate and responsible, even though it’s inside the property and provides room service. When we checked in, we’d heard a man angrily telling reception his room wasn’t clean. We thought it wouldn’t happen to us, but our room was only so-so. It was a very unpleasant stay, and I wouldn’t recommend the place.

We had a good time, though it could have been great if a few basics had been handled better. The location and staff were the best parts, and among the nearby options we saw, it seemed a good choice. There’s a nice outdoor space with lots of greenery and a nice swimming pool, too. But the rooms, especially the bathrooms, were poorly maintained and not cleaned well. We had to keep asking for drinking water, toilet paper, hand-wash, a dustbin, and other basics. We paid almost 7k per night for two rooms for five people, which seems very steep looking back. If you’re staying near Baga, it’s an option, but try to get a better deal.

Baga Beach is about four minutes away, and Calangute Beach about six, but I’m never coming back. Don’t trust the OYO app photos, the pool looks huge there but is actually tiny. The washrooms were dirty, and the flush kept failing even after we had to switch rooms for the same issue. The helping staff were really polite and cleaned the room nicely, but the lights flickered at night. We stayed four days and had hot water for only one shower. The TV didn’t work, or, when it did, there were just 6-8 channels. Food was very, very expensive 😣😣, and the in-house restaurant had entertaining karaoke, but the food 🤮🤮. We chose the breakfast and dinner combo ourselves, and both meals were awful. The non-veg thali at night wasn’t worth the price, though we ate it anyway. Reception staff had behavior issues. Not worth the price at all.

We stayed two nights in October 2019 with friends, and it wasn’t pleasant. The good points were how close it was to Baga Beach, almost beside Tito's Lane, and the water purifier by reception. We could refill reusable bottles or the glass bottles they provided, instead of buying single-use plastic. But lunch on the first day had a really big insect cooked into a Roti. Yuck. Staff did nothing to make up for it and charged the full bill, blaming the restaurant, even though it’s on their premises and they provide room service from it. Then on day two, we left our key at reception in the morning and asked them to clean. When we got back in the evening, they hadn’t done it. The people managing the place were completely irresponsible.

Go at your own risk. The place has a lot of space and rooms, maybe that’s why cleanliness gets neglected. We liked the space and the swimming, but hygiene was pathetic. In December they charge 7-8K, yet you have to ask reception again and again for toiletries, towels, or water bottles. The room smelled, the floors were still half wet, and there was no towel. Breakfast seemed highly unhealthy, with no stirrer for tea or coffee and one shared spoon for everyone.
