The food at Koshani Retreat was a real highlight for me. Meals tasted homemade and full of flavor, and you could tell care had gone into them. The staff were warm, attentive, and quick to help, which made the place feel welcoming. It’s a quiet spot surrounded by nature, with lovely views that made it easy to slow down and relax. My room was cozy, clean, and well kept, though some rooms are on the compact side. The basic amenities were covered, and the central geyser system kept hot water available, which was especially convenient in the cold. Even a short visit felt refreshing. With its peaceful setting, comfortable rooms, good food, and thoughtful hospitality, Koshani Retreat made for a memorable break.

The staff were the best part of my stay. They were kind and helpful, but the room was awful. They charged extra for a heater, and it was very poor quality. The food wasn’t up to standard either. The tea was so bad we couldn’t take more than a couple of sips.

The food tasted good, but that was the only redeeming part of my stay at Kasauni Retreat. Dinner was served only from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and breakfast had similarly narrow hours. The way the food was served made it feel as though they were doing us a favor. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell with no fresh air to clear it. The TV didn’t work, and the intercom was broken, so we couldn’t call anyone for help. The bathroom was shockingly dirty. Bath water was yellow, smelled awful, and had hair in it. They didn’t provide complimentary bottled water, and the RO water I expected wasn’t available either. This was an incredibly disappointing visit. I’d advise against staying at Kasauni Retreat if you want a comfortable or pleasant experience in Kasauni.

The hotel was being renovated while we were there, and they hadn’t explained the situation beforehand. It made the stay really chaotic. A very bad experience.
