Fabhotel Shree Sai Residency

Avoid booking here. This place is shabby and poorly run, and despite being linked with Fab Hotel, they apparently stop communicating and won't provide a room after taking an advance. I found it bogus.

The staff are few but friendly, and the floors and rooms were cleaned. Still, the furniture, linen, and other fittings are in poor shape, the bathroom fixtures are deteriorating, rubbish is left around, and the plunge bath didn't look clean. Repairs seem to have been started in the corridors, but no work is visible. The kitchen and restaurant were barely open. The hotel is in a quiet residential area, though it now seems barely operational despite apparently having had a good reputation. Weekend visitors to Lonavala seem to keep it going. Prices surge on weekends, making the stay very expensive for a place in this condition. It's perplexing that Fab Hotels lends its name without apparently checking the standard.

We paid 8000 in advance after Mahima told us to prepay, but when we arrived, the hotel looked like a horror house and nothing like the photo she had sent. We were promised a swimming pool and other facilities, but none were there. The place was small and in very poor condition, with terrible service. Please avoid it, especially if you're going with family, and don't waste your money here.

The staff are nice, but there was basically no service. The room was full of mosquitoes, and they offered a coil to burn in the closed room. The old spring mattress was awful to sleep on, and the sheets and covers were torn. There was dust on the wardrobe shelf too. The bathroom smelled, and its broken door couldn't be closed from inside the room. This place is badly maintained and shouldn't be offered to unsuspecting guests.
