The peaceful setting and Himalayan views are the big draws at Suman Royal Resort, Kausani. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and many have mountain-facing balconies. Staff were helpful and courteous, and the food was tasty and freshly made. Some facilities could use modernization, but the quiet surroundings and friendly service still make it a nice option for couples, families, or nature lovers wanting a relaxed mountain break. Rating: 4/5.

The rooms are spacious, with some of the best views in Kausani, and the food was very good. It’s a good hotel, and the staff were polite. My only suggestion is to replace the mattresses. The edges have gone soft, and I fell off twice. Everything else was fine.

The games room is good, and the view can be excellent when the mist clears. Service from the crew felt average, though, and left me feeling like I was visiting an old age home. Keep plenty of change for tips, since they expect them starting when they bring your luggage to the room. There’s also a magical air cooler that has a mind of its own and runs when it feels like it.

We spent days at Suman Royal Resort on our Kausani trip. The open area and mountain scenery were the best parts, with space to relax or spend time with family. The rooms were comfortable enough, though basic, and maintenance could be better. Still, the peaceful feel and location make it worth considering.
